After 20 years I re-discovered Soda Stereo, band I used to love in the late 80s/90s. This is a masterpiece with very known songs made into beautiful semi-unplugged ballads. I loved the CD.

5.0 out of 5 stars Needed, for years... 27 April 2009
By Camilo Rueda Lopez - Published on
Format: Audio CD
I've been waiting this footage for almost 15 years... and, despite the time, it remains valid just as if it was recorded yesterday's night.

For me, and this is an absolutely personal opinion, this is truly the last show from Soda Stereo.

The last show in terms of creativity, in terms of performance, in terms of makeup and in terms of band's power display and because it was the first live record after their last studio album release just before their decision of disbanding Soda Stereo. Therefore, this one's truly the last show, without any contractual benefit and/or reunion fakes...

Fans will appreciate the truth on the sound and the performance (missing on some of the farewell shows), and even newcomers will find why Soda Stereo shattered all Americas between 1982 and 1997. And 2007.

There's some other "last shows" from Soda Stereo (enjoyable as well), but this one's truly the last show, and you can even feel it from the band's countenance. They were just saying goodbye, and both the music and the people were on a farewell, without explicitly saying goodbye to their audience, which you can even spot it on their faces and the way they treat themselves.

Gustavo's even wearing black eyeglasses during all night long just as if he was a mourning something...

And yes, he was.

Melancholic but fantastic.
5.0 out of 5 stars The best MTV Unplugged/Plugged 7 July 2010
By A Customer - Published on
Format: Audio CD
As a music lover in general I can say that this concert is the best mtv unplugged performance I've ever heard. The songs were changed in such a beautiful way. This also showcases the genius composer, rock legend, Gustavo Cerati and his natural talent. His voice is impeccable, his guitar is brilliant, and its truly an amazing musical experience. Spanish Rock at its finest, no one else can compare.

Whether you speak the language or not, whether you listen to alternative rock or not... you will NOT be dissapointed. this is truly a beautiful album.

Gustavo "Maestro" Cerati,
Thank you.
