When looking for a tent I noticed the non waterproof dome tents by Confidence recieved poor ratings for letting water in (go figure!! those tents aren't designed to keep the rain out!) so I purchased this one.
Beside other tents that weekend, this one looked the business. Great colour, sleek design and in my opinion, a high quality tent! Yes, the rain came on (While we were down the pub), however came back to not a drip on any of my clothes!!!
It's probably not a tent designed for the serious camper! But for the occasional user like myself, I'd recommend it! Only 2 of us in it, I feel to sleep 4 people it would be a squeeze however probably 3 comfortably (but who has ever seen a spacious 4 man tent!!)
Great item! Any future buyers lets hear your review!
Unfortunately, the sewing on the door was very poor - in actual fact the zip on the door is not sewn onto the tent in 2 areas. There are many areas where it looks like a rush job with a lot of back stitching and cotton left hanging.
I am glad I only paid £20 for this tent. Would not have been happy if I paid the full amount.
I will be trying it for real at the end of April, so we shall see if it stays together!
Aside from looking awesome it's very easy to put up and took us about 5 minutes to get from bag to tent. There were four of us camping and there was plenty of room including some space for our bags etc. although most of that stuff had to be kept in the entrance.
We had perfect tent testing weather as, being Scotland, it was sunny on the first day and then poured down the next morning. Although there were a few drips inside the tent and more than a few drips in the entrance area (yup, where all our stuff was. oops.), most of it could have been avoided by using the guy ropes (previously mentioned male friend insisted we wouldn't need them...) and the rain was so heavy the tent actually held up pretty well considering.
I noticed that a lot of people who have reviewed this tent have complained that rain was getting into the tent and while this did happen to me it didn't concern me. You can't expect the same amount of shelter from canvas as you can from bricks and mortar as some people seem to think so give it a chance and judge it as a tent, not a house.
All in all I'm very happy with this tent and would highly recommend it, especially to those with a smaller budget.
As far as the four man bit goes, it is, but only if you are very good friends with everyone and dont move in the night. It may do four if you are all petite, but three people is better and for two its marvellous.
I would buy it again if I needed another tent.
I suppose it probably isn't perfect but for the price, it did the job very well and i was surprised as i didn't think it'd be too good. If you want a tent with great quality, then you'll have to spend more. If you are wanting a reasonably priced tent for festivals then this is great.
Then we took it to Bloodstock, where another corner fell apart and I was left to improvise a solution (poke hole in groundsheet, stick pole through hole) And the tent kept us warm and dry again.
Not the best tent in the world, take a needle and thread incase of emergency, but all in good value and properly waterproof.

This is no way a four man tent, rather a two. It was brought for a festival as a cheap tent that I would not mind leaving behind. Read morePublished on 7 Dec. 2010 by maria121
