3.0 out of 5 stars Predictable 12 Oct. 2013

Cute story...under dog wins in the end. But this author writes the female lead characters pretty much having the same personality in every book...but they are different people. I read the first book Second Chance Romance about kip and Mandy. Mandy is a single mom who struggles to make ends meet while carrying a little extra baby weight. Average girl falls in love with HOT HUNKY HOCKEY PLAYER. Same thing with this book...Complications Over Coffee...Nicole is an average looking single mom without a lot of money, but has some extra weight on her and she falls for the hot hockey player. Let me make an inference...I think that the author was a single mom at one time and maybe has some of the personalities of these lead characters. Change it up!
Also...I would have liked to experience more of Corey's anger issues...not just read the dialogue of him explaining it. BORING.
3.0 out of 5 stars Very disappointed........ 9 Feb. 2015

I've read Second Chance Romance and Summer Fling and really enjoyed the first 2 books of this series. This one however misses the mark. It seems when there is a series of stories, most start to fizzle out around book 3. The authors seem to put less into the stories and add a lot of mindless sex. I'm 48% through it and am really struggling to finish. This one seems to lack the substance the first two had. There is so much promise based on the synopsis but it just falls flat. All it has is a bunch of sex scenes and sexual situations that are so far fetched. All Corey and Nicole have to do is be in the same room and they are having sex. Really........ Could Asrai not have made it more interesting. I'm going to do my best to finish it but I can't make any promises. :(

4.0 out of 5 stars Corey's story 24 Dec. 2014

This is the third book in the Up in Flames series. This time we get to delve into the life of Mr Party animal from book 1, Corey Porter, and Nicole who is Tanner's mom (Colton's friend). I really liked both of these characters. They were both flawed and made god awful decisions at times, but that is what made them so real. Real life is complicated and messy. The struggles in their personal lives were complicated and messy. And while everything was not necessarily a Hollywood HEA perfect ending. It was a perfect ending for the relationship between Nic and Corey. I am booking forward to the next book in the series.
5.0 out of 5 stars Great story... 27 April 2014

I love this series. Every book is a great story. I wish that the title would contain the books number in the series, so the readers can be certain they are reading the next book. Editing and proofing needs to be better done as well. Other than that, this is a FANTASTIC series and if you can look past the obvious mistakes then you will love it!
