The content is FIVE STAR - do not be in any doubt about that An excellent resource from one of the 19th Century's best Christian writers.

The eBook, whilst representing EXCELLENT value, has some problems:

It has not been proof-read and there are several (OCR?) errors.

The BIble passages are present in the Commentary on Matthew & John, but not Mark and Luke. This is inconvenient as you have to swap to a Bible to read them. Ryle intended for them to be included, so why not?

I haven't read the Commentary on John in this eBook yet, but a quick look did not find the extensive footnotes of the original. An annoying omission.

I have contacted the publishers before posting this review, but did not receive a reply.

The gospel commentaries in particular are incredibly good. written by an obviously very spiritual man who lived very close to God. But Holiness and the other volumes are also splendid. They are a must have.

Same as the last guy. 5 stars for Ryle, but 2 for content. I would like to add that this is NOT the Complete Works. There are many works missing from this compilation. A more honest "Collected Works" would not have hurt sales in any way.
