After reading the chapter on tables I really cannot recommend this book or take it or the author seriously.

The book suggests using tables for Web site layout. Although it does go on to say this isn't the best way to do it, it shouldn't even be mentioned as a possibility. Using tables creates bloated and slow Web pages that will work poorly on many devices.

As a result I would consider any other advice in this book as dubious.

Very informative, helps explain the basics of html, xml and css amongst other aspects of webpage design, a good place to start if you have basic working knowledge of these languages.
