Not just for Bond Aholics but for those who appreciate the finer things in life and would like to learn more and understand what and why these finer things are desirable . Written by someone who has really studied the subject in hand and not just an expert in the Bond creation or Fleming but in the small things that make up the everyday life and character of Bond, his likes and dislikes and why and what makes these so desirable, from food & drink to clothes and so on. It's these small finer things in life that make people want to emulate the Bond lifestyle if only in food & clothing . Knowledge of such things has to be gained somewhere , so if you weren't born with a silver spoon so to say, then David Leigh's books are an excellent place to gain such knowledge . The website The Bond Dossier is well worth a visit for all things Bond. Even if you don't like Bond or his creator Fleming , everyone appreciates the finer things in life (food, drink, clothes, etc) to which the Bond character has knowledge and access which I believe is what makes the Bond character so appealing , of course the women and cars also help a tiny bit. Do yourself a big favour and read David Leigh's books and website, you won't be disappointed .

Great information. Acurate and excellent advice for the amateur or semi proffessional mixologist. One BIG problem ! Some of the pages have been duplicated. Not just in one section but in several. This would make an excellent revision book for any body taking qualifications in the drinks industry. Light hearted and interesting, just what you want for cramming prior to an examination

Good but superficial. Very little to justify price. Also covers recent Bond movies which have nothing to do with Ian Fleming!

Great details on the drinks of Bond - Love it to be able to check what was drunk when and where

Although David Leigh's book is heavily inspired by the world of 007 - on screen and in print - I was impressed with the way this useful book draws on real world cultural history to enrich my knowledge (and enjoyment!) of Bond's favorite drinks.
