this book is aimed at the managing aspect of fundraising, how to apply for lottery grants etc....big time stuff! if you are looking into raising money for enjoyment - village fairs, sponsored events etc you will need something a little lighter. Good book if you are looking into fundraising as a full time job.

I read this round the corner before my first fundraising job interview and regurgitated it when they asked what to include in a grant application. The interviewer laughed and said you'd be surprised how many people don't even say the problem. Thanks.

If you want to work for a non-profit organisation, this is the right book to begin and develop your career, but as a fundraiser. You will need it to be with you as long as you need an expert to help you.

This is a great book when you start to fundraise as it is a difficult task in the current climate.

The book gives you knowledge and also highlights issues which you don't think about until you are actually fundraising. I would recommend this book to someone who has decided to fundraise for an organisation. It also covers projects which don't go to plan and how to learn from your mistakes. It is detailed in places but practicable.

This book would be also ideal for those who are thinking about fundraising so they understand the commitments involved.
