After 2 months, it was time to change the ink.
Slotted the required ink cartridges in but the printer was not picking up that the cartridges were in place. No matter what I did, these cartridges would not work.
I ended up going online and discovered that there could be some issue with the microchip on these not working on the Brother printer. Depending on what you read, some blamed the cartridges while others blamed Brother.
After a bit of reading online, I found out that if you take the microchip from the old cartridges (which will have come with the Brother printer) and put them over the microchip on these, then you will get them to work. A bit of fiddling has to be done and you need to make sure that the microchip is sitting in place or else the printer won't read it. Not exactly the best way to get an ink cartridge to work but in my case it is doing what is required.
I've given three stars because they are working, the ink quality is good but should I really have had to be messing about with microchips? I don't think so.
I'll be carrying out some more research when it comes to purchasing new ink cartridges although I suppose I know what I need to do with these if I decide to buy them again.
The only exception would be when printing photos, and then darker colours tend to blend together, but bright colours are absolutely fine.
