Format: Kindle Edition
Only Lynne Hackles could write a book of Handy Hints for writers. She's been giving advice to writers for many years (despite being only 21!) and has collected thousands of tips from numerous authors and writers she's interviewed for her regular column in Writing Magazine. I particularly love the hint about creating a Great Aunt that you can offer as an excuse when a non-writer asks you to do something you don't want to do. This is one of those books you read from cover to cover and then dip back into, from time to time.

However enthusiastically you launch yourself into writing for the first time, there comes a point when doubts creep in and you're not sure whether you have the ability or resolve to continue. Lynne Hackles's book offers you a heap of comforting and useful tips, from ideas to try, words of encouragement and reassurances that your are not alone!

By the time you have read through this book - and it's a good one to dip in and out of when you need a boost of common sense - you will be re-energised to get back to that keyboard or notepad with confidence.

Even those of us who have been writing for a while need to be reminded of such wise words every now and again!
