Product Description

Review

"Webber's experience as a public health practitioner in developing countries is what sets this book apart. He understands the burden faced in these regions, and the limited time, knowledge and resources available for intervention. Therefore, in my opinion, it deserves a place on the desk and in the field kits of practitioners and students of public health, epidemiology and others at the frontline of disease control."

Format: Paperback
Communicable Disease Epidemiology and Control, by Roger Webber, is essential reading for doctors and other health workers in low-middle income countries. He explains the principles of disease control, and the detals how to control particular diseases. It is clear to read, well illustrated and practical. I've used it myself. I recommend it to all my masters public health (international) participants at the Nuffield Centre for International Health and Development, LIHS, University of Leeds.
