It's also definitely relevant for software development projects, which is where I use them. There are a number of seemingly unrelated scenes, problems, and situations in Commitment, where a real options approach is used successfully, and it's clearly useful and easy to apply. It's also clear from the book that we always have lots of options, and that real options theory gives some useful, sometimes counter-intuitive, insight.
BTW, I read the kindle version of the book, and I was slightly annoyed at having to flip through the same copies images multiple times. This may have been corrected by now, and obviously this isn't an issue for the hardback version of the book. Contents highly recommended.
The cartoon approach is engaging and really effectively uses the story to convey some complicated themes, tools and approaches.
I bought the Kindle version. It didn't really look readable on my Kindle until I discovered that it first shows the whole page, then each section in turn. This allows you to appreciate the graphical beauty of each page and also enables the reading of text within each frame.
This is a great book that helps me think about managing decisions through a project and beyond. Highly recommended.
