Book Description

A lighthearted but practical (and very useful!) guide to help prepare men for their most important mission: Fatherhood.

About the Author

Neil Sinclair is an ex-Commando, and has been a stay-at-home dad for the last eleven years with his children Samuel, Jude and Liberty. Three of those years he spent as a childminder. Neil's first book is Commando Dad: Basic Training, the bestselling book for new dads that Prince William used to prepare him for fatherhood. Neil writes a popular blog, and a column for The Daily Telegraph and has appeared in other newspapers, magazines, on TV and on the radio discussing fatherhood.

I bought this for my son-in-law, a former Royal Engineer, because he was beginning to look like a rabbit caught in the headlights. I thought it would appeal to his practical nature. I've had a look at it and really like it's approach, style and its humour. As the author states - it's a basic training manual but for many men that can only be a good thing. As long as it soothes anxiety it will be worth the money for me!

This an essential, clear, very amusing and thoroughly practical and realistic handbook for all Dads to be and their wives and partners.
As a new grandmother to be it is a wonderful up to date read.
See also Commando Dad Basic Training and its sequel. Neil Sinclair is to be hugely congratulated.

Message to all dads-to-be: Are you feeling intimidated by all the new things you are having to consider since you found out that your partner is pregnant? Looking for a clearly written, down-to-earth source of information to prepare yourself to become a dad? Look no further than this great little Commando Dad book. It's written in an easy to digest style with a sense of humour and you don't have to be or been a soldier to benefit from the wide range of advice. 'Nuff said!

Excellent, no non-sense book. I (expectant mother) read it in one evening, having bought it for my husband, who is now working his way through it. It has been invaluable for us - he seems so much more "in the know" than before, and involved, without me trying to get him to read multiple websites, to find out the stuff he needs to know.

I bought this for my husband and he totally hate it. Couldn't read more than the first chapter. I tried to read it and I also found the writing style a little silly-billy but if you don't mind this type of "army-like" writing then the book is not so bad.
