This compilation trades on the recent TV use of the title track in an advertisement. At this price, the CD is worth it for this track alone. Timeless, jazzy, and feeling relevant over 50 years later, 'Comin Home baby' is just irresistible. The other tracks are a random collection of standards and jazz numbers, though the inclusion of 'Right Now', another hit in the UK, is very welcome. Even on the standards, Torme lets his credentials shine, with scat solos, and that distinctive smooth and easy flow of his voice.
Think Michael Buble but cool, then add much cooler. It is a must-have, at the price of a 'designer' coffee.
