The pages are in a straightforward three-tier / two or three panels per tier format, with the occasional full or double-page spread. The style is a modern “British” children’s book cartoon - an entertaining-but-educational format - telling the genuine facts, mentioning real people and real discoveries - you will actually learn the real history and science from this.
I found it readable and factual, but only mildly entertaining - but I wasn’t sure if it was a children’s book or an adult novelty book. It certainly works as an entertaining children’s educational book, and adults can read it and learn too.
It is a good way of getting a child who is not much of a reader to take an interest in the subject.
