These boxers are nearly perfect, except for the fact that they ride up. It wasn't so noticeable after first usage, but then the material relaxes/stretches a bit and so doesn't hold to your legs, thereby riding up. Riding up = bunched material around your crotch/groin and viola, chafing.
I ordered XXL (36-38) and I'm a waist 36 (though I consider myself a "large" 36 with big thighs).
It's possible that they just need washing to return them to their original shape and tightness after each use. That'll just limit their use to 1-2 times before each wash. So no using a pair for an extending hike. However I might just need to try a size down so that they're tighter to my legs and don't ride up. However the waist on these fits me perfectly and overall the fit feels right.
The solution would probably just be to add some tighter elastic to the base of the legs to prevent ride-up. The ball pouch really works and keeps your junk very comfortable. Much better than agonizing boxers like Runderwear which are completely flat in the front.
It's a shame because they're so nearly perfect, but just miss the mark...
