Oh, it was so good to be back with EIT! I think absence really had made my heart grow fonder because it took precisely no time at all for me to be grinning from ear to ear, in my happiest of happy places, savouring the wondercake that was COME ALIVE.

What made it so good? Well, many things, but the top of the list for me would be the awesomeness that was DEX'S NARRATION! It was certainly a different reading experience after enjoying six books from Perry's POV, but it was a good different. I was rapt instantly, poring over his every word, every thought. For a character whose motives and feelings have always been somewhat muggy, to get an entire book written from his POV--not just a scene or a novella, but and entire freakin' book so we could really dig in deep and scramble things around to see just how his brain works--was just beyond delicious and I savoured every single morsel of it!

Now, granted, a lot of Dex's thoughts do revolve around sex and his favourite parts of Perry's anatomy. But come on, now. This is Dex we're talking about. Would you love him if he were any other way?

Didn't think so.

To be fair to the lovely Perry, I did miss her narration at times, it's true. Particularly since she's currently the most conflicted of the two characters. I would have dearly loved to have known what thoughts were whirring around in that little head of hers at certain points. Dex, on the other hand, is being clear as a bell and I loved seeing him be so wonderfully honest about his feelings for Perry, and about everything that's gone down between them in the past. Even without the pleasure of his POV, he's so open that we (and Perry) would have known where we stood with him anyway.

Book 7 in EIT, told from Dex's POV had me laughing so flipping hard i have never highlighted so many passages in a book before.

Here, Dex and Perry team up with Ginger Balls to fight voodoo magic in New Orleans whilst Derry try and come to terms with being a couple. We meet some new characters and Dex's mum makes a few appearances but not in a good way and things begin to get scary down in NOLA with the help of a few zombies and an enchanting priestess in training.

It got quite angsty at 62% and I bloody cried and felt sick, but that's what Karina's writing does to me and I love it and hate it at the same time.

We got lots of sexy Dexy time and some beautiful words from the man himself.

Bring on Book 8, I can't blimmin wait!

I found that the continual Fantastic sex that Perry and Dex were supposed to be having got really boring in the end, as it detracted from the main storyline. I enjoyed this series originally because of the characters and the adventures they had. Now it reads like a mild porno story with the odd paranormal story thrown in to fill it up.

Ooh what can I say. The EIT series is one of my favourites and seeing as this one is written in Dex' POV, it is even more potent.

Dex is just, well, Dex and he is fabulously tactless and says what he thinks. Although he is more or less putty in his lover's hands. Perry holds his heart in her hands; not even the presence of the douchecanoe, Maximus, can come between them - even though he does try - again.

They are now filming in New Orleans, a new concept laid down by their boss, where Maximus is in charge and gets to organise their next episode.

This one is full of creepy old ladies, Voodoo hoodoo and zombies - and an old flame of Maximus; spicy and full of Dex & Perry lurve and sexy times ;-)

Enjoy! I did!

A rollercoaster ride of emotions as always! I have to admit that at one point in the story I think I actually hated Ms Halle! As well as taking the hearts of our beloved Dex and Perry and tearing them to shreds, she did the same to mine!
As with the rest of the series, you are completely sucked in, wanting to know what will happen next, but sometimes not daring to ask!
It's going to be a long wait for the next book, cos I just can't wait!!!!!!

Apart from a few missed letters and spelling mistakes......... I LOVE THIS SERIES, the author is adept at seeing both a male AND female perspective, each book is read alone, unless you are reading eg: 5.5 but each nooks ends with me racing to buy the next one. Can't recommend enough, the stories are intriguing and the characters believable, with just enough supernatural.

I adore this series, have followed it from the beginning, eagerly anticipating each new book. And, as always, Ms Halle didn't let me down.

MAY BE SPOILERS SO PLEASE DON'T READ IF YOU HAVEN'T READ THE BOOK

The book carries on from "Into the Hollow" with Perry and Dex still in Canada, but this time it is told from Dex's POV. Which meant I fell just a little bit more in love with him - which I didn't think was possible.

I loved the trip to New Orleans, it's somewhere I have always wanted to visit and loved Ms Halle's descriptions of it. I didn't even mind Maximus tagging along - even though I really don't like him, and by the end of he book I found I had started to change my opinion of him, maybe he isn't so bad?

But the true joy of this book was getting Dex's real feelings of Perry direct from the source, I love how much he loves her, and that just because he is a changed man, he isn't suddenly some perfect gentlemen - he still messes up, he still says the wrong thing and he still mightily pisses Perry off sometimes, but that's ok, because you know, deep down, he only sees her.

From what I can tell, there are only two books left in this series - which I am seriously worried about. I honestly don't know how I will cope without these two amazing characters in my life and I truly hope that they end up happy and together. I know that some authors decide to "freshen up" a series by killing off one of the leads, but I hope to God that this isn't what will happen here, Perry and Dex deserve to be happy together.

I can't wait for the next two books - but at the same time I am dreading them because then it will be over....

If you haven't read these books, please please please stop wasting time reading my silly review and get the books. You will not regret it.
