Plenty of room internally for 2 bunches of keys. Combination lock buttons are easy to set, and change.
Waterproof cover is robust and good to prevent water/rust ingress into lock mechannisms
Buttons are a bit "clunky and stiff" although may free up with use - we'll see !
Need to press the reset button on closure to ensure it is all locked and secure
Would buy again and recommend it to others
This keysafe is solidly made of metal with a removable rubber outer casing.
I did not need this as it was fitted inside the porch. The key buttons are
very easy to read and use and change the code.
The only negative is there is no hook inside to hang a key.
The buttons are large and easily seen in poor light and so is easy to open for those that may need to do so, such as the emergency services, of which I am one. Vastly preferable to tumbler ones. Also it doesn't need the code re entering to close the safe....but one MUST remember the close/reset button instead, or else it won't lock.
To open, the large top button which looks as though it should be pushed in, has instead to be slid down with one finger (and it's quite stiff and spring-loaded) whilst gripping the sides of the box with two other fingers and pulling it towards you. This is quite awkward. Also the safe does not lock upon closing; you have to press the C button at the base to lock it. As others have pointed out, there is no hook for the key, but I stuck mine to a piece of blutack inside.
It's one drawback as far as I can see is the lack of a hook to hang a bunch of keys on but they will fit in- a hook would just make life a little easier.

Second unit bought. This and the previous one developed faulty press-buttons. Buy something more robust.Published 7 months ago by mt tutor
Was after a solid yet reasonably priced key storage unit and this seems to fit the bill. Unit is heavy and solid and comes with a waterproof cover. Read morePublished 14 months ago by massf
