Pretty dire in terms of the writing: punctuation and grammar etc. However the plot was good, so I gave it 1* for that and 1* for the author's courage at writing/publishing it. I could never write a book so think I get how hard it must be. The writing was quite adolescent and very repetitious. Things did not make sense, or not good sense anyway. I would not recommend anyone read this, and have deleted it from my library.

I was skeptical about this book when I first started it. It wa a little bit slow and I was waiting for something to actually happen, BUT then it just sort of got into my head and I was hooked, couldn't put it down and I loved it.
A little bit dark, raw, and passionate, this is the story of 2 damaged people, who both grew up having Fathers having involved with the Mafia.
Lauri and Rowan first met when she was 15, he was older than her. She has always had a secret crush on him, but that gets forgotten when she gets married later on in her life to a man whom she thinks is in love with her too.
The trauma she suffers at the hands of this man is unbelievable and so very sad and wrong, and leaves Lauri a broken damaged woman. Then one day her life changes forever when Rowan appears back in her life, but is it for the better or for the worse ?
Can these two souls mend each other or just create more darkness, can they pull each other towards the light ?
A very very moving story, full of despair, yet so full of hope as well.
A definite must read, but not for the faint hearted. And the ending ---- oh my just you wait !!!

What a fantastic book , my heart is pounding and tears are streaming as I write this, I started this book this morning and I haven't been able to put it down. This story was one of the best I have read in a while , beautifully written I could feel the pain, love and hate that each character felt.

this story needs an input from a good editor.

The plot is strong but the writing is weak, Too much repetition.
