Oh my!

That was a really lovely story, about mending broken hearts.

Two very broken people getting by, happen to trip over each other and slowly mend each other and bring immense happiness and joy to their lives.

Colin..... Just like his daddy Connor! What a sweetheart, not a selfish spoilt brat, he had a really lovely heart even though he thought his was broken!

I did wonder what happened to Hilary, but she showed courage and I feel she went away to find herself but unfortunately she had a crap time and thought that she could pick up where she left off!

So again like his dada, Collin gets himself passed out drunk to help him get over Hilary's betrayal, by using drink and women. He even felt sorry for breaking umpteen womens hearts! but he managed! LOL

When we first meet Amelia, I immediately thought history is being repeated - ahh so sweet! Amelia was also a really sweet good natured person, but got a bit defensive when Collin wanted to thank her for helping him, I did want to shake her by her shoulders then we got her story! Such Sadness.

This story had me welling up more times than I'd have liked!

The interaction between the whole Black family was really lovely, Julia has really settled and came over so much more mature.

Of course, Ellery and Connor still so much in love, that's lovely to see too! It was great catching up on some of the other characters albeit briefly, and even Ian and Rory got a mention.

Collin and Amelia has a few bridges to cross, and they really dealt with them all beautifully.

Colin was a sweet and adorable read that took me down memory lane on his father Conner Black. To see Colin endure the same trials and tribulations as his father just confirmed how much he was his father’s son, the apple didn’t fall far from the tree lol. The tight bond which Conner and Ellery shared with their children was beautiful to read, showing just how much they cared and loved one another family bonding being the key. It was painful to see Collin suffer heartache at the hands of Hailey, as being Peyton’s daughter I expected better from her so that was a disappointment, but in Conner’s heart to heart he put it to his son that she wasn’t the one for him. I fell in love with Amelia and kept smiling throughout, as the storyline carried the heart racing elements from the first Forever Black series and captured how these Black men found the love of their lives, whilst on destructive paths to mask their pain. Colin’s love for his big sister Julia really shined showing us just how much he adored her. I loved and giggled at how Conner made his son suffer by taking away his privileges, which helped pave a new path for his son Colin to show maturity, and brought out the traits he inherited from his mother to help others in need, whilst along the way he allowed himself to fall in love and find his forever Mrs Black. I’m excited and at the same time I will be sad to read the final Forever Family in the series. From the beginning of reading the blurb on Forever Black, I knew I was embarking on a novel that would stay in my heart and leave me forever in love with Conner and Ellery!

If it was possible to be adopted by a fictional family the Black's would be that family. Collin truly is his fathers son at the start of this book, he's had his heart broken and is lashing out using drink and women. Two things change his life, he meets Jacob and his mum Diane and he meets Amelia, he quickly realises Amelia is different. The whole family is back Connor and Ellery are still loved up much to the embarrassment of their kids, Julia and Jake are starting their family, Mason, Landon and Denny are all there. Collin needs to let go off the past to move forward with the future. I love love this series, can't wait for the next one.
