Format: Hardcover
This substantial volume brings together the poetical work of Craig Raine from "The Onion, Memory" (1978) to "Clay, Whereabouts Unknown" (1996) and includes the whole of "History: the Home Movie" (1994). I would have liked to see, however, a biographical and critical introduction, however brief: the only material of this kind is Raine's own autobiographical essay in "Rich" (1984), and I feel that future students of Raine's poetry would appreciate some explanatory notes on some of the more abstruse references in his poems.
