Product Description

Product Description

Coleman Coastline 3 plus three person tent has sturdy, stable and built for easy pitching. This tunnel tent provides enough space for three people with ample living and storage space to cope with all your kit, even on extended stays.

Stay protected from the outdoor elements with the rising groundsheet that combines the feeling of comfort you get with a sewn-in groundsheet with the ventilation and easy-clean capabilities of a traditional flat groundsheet. Optimum airflow is a key focus on this design with an additional ventilation tile to ensure air circulates throughout the tent. This tent comes with sleeping area of 4.2 m², storage area about 3.78 m², pitching surface of 26 m² and 140 cm headroom.

The bedroom also features strong and resistant polyethylene. Breathable polyester and no-see-um mesh inner is lightweight and bug-resistant. The pole sections are short enough for them to be packed easily into a rucksack. The riser groundsheet allows cool air to enter at the base of thetent and then warm air is pushed out through the ventilation panels.

Features two doors so you do not need to re-pitch if the wind direction changes. Optimally place guy-lines along the poles and around the tent ensure stability in high winds. Y-guy-lines provide support but less strain on the tent poles. Up in one pitching allows for quick and easy pitching, the inner bedroom is pre-attached and it can be left in when packing the tent away.

Colour coded poles and pole sleeves and bedroom inner hooks minimise pitching errors. PVC windows increase visibility and allow light into the tent but provide privacy when required. The power cord vent is a convenient opening so that you can run an electricity cable into the tent, also have many internal pockets.

Just back from a week on Dartmoor in this tent. No leaks despite constant driving rain! The sleeping area is very goood. You can fit two campbeds or three mats quite easily with space to move. I had to stoop but it was easy enough to organise all my kit.

The groundsheet is excellent and there is a separate one for the porch.

The porch is huge and we could cook in it quite easily. The side doors make this possible even in heavy rain.

It is tall and flexible, which makes it a bit alarming in high winds (30mph). Two of my guys came loose, but this was because the pegs were thin and round. I shall use better, shaped, pegs and I expect it will be fine.

This is a good tent for car camping and I am glad I bought it.

I've only used this once (this past weekend), but was pleasantly surprised. Plenty of space for me and my gear in the sleep pod, then all the extra space that the storage area provides. I no longer have to bring, set up and take down a third structure (used to bring a shelter/cabana for communal space for my friends to hang out in). Shipping to the USA was quick (only two days!) and, thankfully, there were no parts missing nor was anything broken/ripped/torn. I can't speak on it's longevity, but I'm hopeful this will last me for a while.

First of all, I have read in another review that this tent was frustrating to put up......REALLY??!! This tent is incredibly easy to put up and took me about 10 minutes to erect fully. To get the outer shell is about 6 minutes with then just pegging the inner room and further goundsheet in. I have always been a fan of sewn in groundsheets to tents but this has changed my mind. Its so much easier to clean the tent bit by bit as all the tent can be seperated into three.

Tent size is decent, I wanted a smaller tent from my 9 man "lads" tent to go walking and camping with but only for 2 people to sleep, cook, dress and admin ourselves in. I took this tent to Download 2012 and had three of us in it. Im 6'4" tall, my brother is 6'7" tall and my mate is 6' tall. With roll mats down we all fit in the sleeping area fairly snuggly. It does fit three people but is also a very very spacious 2 man tent (obvious statement know!) and all your kit will easily fit in the sleeping area too.

Very good, very waterproof, very cheap for the price and very roomy. For a three man tent it has more room than the Vango Beta 350 (though im a huge fan of Vango tents) and is better qaulity than your cheap big argos tents.

For the tent novice, NEVR BUY A TENT UNDER 2000 HH. If it rains, your gonna get wet!!!

Excellent quality, very well designed and good value for money.
Purchased as a single person hiking tent - plenty of space and very easy for one person to put up.
Very pleased.

At first, when I set this up I thought it was the best tent I had ever come across. Its small and reasonable light to carry and after you figure out its design you should be able to put it up in about 10 - 15 min (helps to have another person).

Inside the tent is very spacious, you could easily have 4 people sitting around just in the front foyer part of the tent and the sleeping compartment fit a double blow up bed, still with plenty of room for our bags and stuff.

What I was really impressed with is not even really described or pictured on the site, the tent comes with two extra poles that are used to prop up the front door, out in front as a roof. Usually it would just role up, but this was much better coz I gave you that extra little bit of shelter.

Now what I didn't really like about the design is the two part housing, you have the outer layer and the inner layer. You have to put up the inner layer first and then climbing inside and hook the inner layer, which makes up the bedroom, to the inside of the outer layer, its all a bit tricky and I dont understand why they didnt't make the one piece constructions like some other companies do. Saying that, I did not get one bit of moisture within the sleeping part so it certainly proved to be affective.

The reason I have given 3 stars instead of 4, maybe 5, is that the side zipper broke on the first night, I believe this to only be a fault with my particular tent as no other reviews mentions it, however it kinda ruined the cozy feel a bit by the wind blowing right in all night. Amazon replaced it for me as soon as I notified them so I look forward to trying the new one as I hope it was just a fault with that one.

For the price this is a great tent. Good size porch, spacious sleeping area (enough for a double blow up airbed and more. Totally waterproof (it survived the Glastonbury mud and downpour no problems). Would definitely recommend.

Having lived in a variety of 3 man tents on many trips, I bought this coleman coastline plus 3 man tent as somebody recommended trying a tunnel tent and the strong brand attached to coleman. I purchased the tent without really looking at the details and only realised how big it was when I first used it. This is a huge tent. At 6ft tall I can stand up in it stooping slightly. I could (and have ) held a party in the porch. My buddies 2 mann tent will fit in it with room to spare.

Despite the size it still only weighs the same as my older 2 man tent, I can put it up single handed in about 20 minutes, but with help it would be around 10. Plus it is the first tent I've ever had that it doesn't seem to matter how you fold it up and roill it, it always fits in the bag with space to spare. Can't wait for the next trip.
