Spacious for one man, but as a two only suited to a couple with joined sleeping bags.
A little draughty in strong wind, but American so to be expected!
Usual design flaws, why can't any tent manufacturers try their products out first before going into full production:-
* inner mesh for side entrance is not seeable through, so when stopping midges etc, you can't see out
* the side entrance when opened allows any accumulated water above zip to drip onto the inner tent floor
* no storage space in side entrance area and can't cook here under cover
( these last two would be fixed by making the inner tent slightly smaller and asymmetric to offset away from the outer tent opening, or provide adjustment with the inner/outer clearance toggles)
With the long side entrance open when you wake its easy to set up your stove and make a brew whilst lying in your sleeping bag.
If it rains you can use the porch as an entry and exit, but even though it rained very hard I never needed to do this. The tent is absolutely dry in heavy rain and there is a 10cm skirt on the sewn in groundsheet. There is good clearance between the inner tent and the flysheet so any condensation does not drip down on you. The ventilation is superb. Handy pockets for your stuff. I have got the pitching and packing time down to about 3 minutes.
Although its 2.45kg and too small for two people, its roomy for one and I would highly recommend this tent for cycle touring. At the price, its an absolute steal
I set this up on my garden for a test run before my big camping trip and allowed my 10 year old nephew to try it out hes very short and skiny where as Im average bloke 28 5ft 8 12st and we didnt have enough room.
On my camping trip I stayed in the middle of nowhere in a woods just outside London it we had 2 nights of heavy rain and it stayed bone dry.
It took about 5 minutes to set up and the same to pack.
Very light weight and the fact that the bag it comes in is a draw string ment it was amazingly easy to pack away and still be small enough for me to fit it in my 65l rucksack along with lots of clothes a single air bed (thin mat type)pots and pans and still had plenty of room left.
All in all a great tent for 1 person has features that most expensive tents have at a fraction of the price.
Dont hesitate to buy you wont be sorry
You will need to buy a separate groundsheet as the inbuilt one is very thin and can easily let water in.
With a bit of practice it is easy to set up, It takes me about 10 mins or so to put up.
It is a cleverly designed tent with lots of handy features.
