I've been putting off reading it for some unknown reason, but I could kick myself for doing so because it was absolutely phenomenal!

The Coincidence of Callie and Kayden is written from two narrative perspectives which alternate. Sometimes these sorts of stories bother me because one side of the story makes it pretty darn obvious what's going on in the other side, but that wasn't the case with this book. As both Callie and Kayden are hiding something, the double narrative is essential to the plot, otherwise we would have absolutely no idea what was going on. There was just something about this book that felt really real. Obviously, I'm not a boy, but when I was reading Kayden's thoughts I felt like they were pretty authentic boy-thoughts. Whilst he was clearly emotionally damaged and even romantic at times, you could also see that he spent quite a lot of time thinking with his c*ck and not with his brain. This wasn't really a bad thing as Jessica Soresen has written this book in such a way so that you still fall head over heels for Kayden, despite his flaws. I feel that a lot of young adult books give teenagers completely unrealistic expectations of romance and boys and I'm not saying that this book is particularly realistic either, but the characterisation of Callie and Kayden felt pretty damn close to how I would act if I were in either of their situations, so at the very least this book is one step ahead of all the other young adult romances.

Both of the teenagers in this book are dealing with some pretty serious stuff and I felt that they were both addressed really well. Jessica Sorensen doesn't dwell too much on the past, but more how these past events are affecting Callie and Kayden in the present which was much more interesting.

This is one of my favourite books, I could compare it to beautiful disaster or chasing Nicki but not in the stories as they are all unique but the emotions that they evoke, stunning stuff, can't wait to get the sequel, I feel an all nighter is on the cards!

I first discovered Jessica Sorenson when I read her book The Secret Of Ella And Micha, which if you haven't read then please do because it is a really great book! After thoroughly enjoying The Secret Of Ella And Micha, I was thrilled to learn that she had another book coming out, and I was very much looking forward to starting The Coincidence Of Callie and Kayden.

I loved The Coincidence Of Callie and Kayden. Just like with Jessica's other novel, I was drawn in straight away from the first pages. I even took to carrying it around with me in the house, and out in my handbag, so that i could read a few pages whenever I sensed the opportunity!

The characters are very-well written. Callie and Kayden worked perfectly together, I could really feel the chemistry between them and it was radiating from the pages. I was desperate to read on because I wanted to know how things would work out for both of them, there are many ups and downs and I didn't know which direction the novel would head in, so I was always surprised!

I particularly enjoyed that as a reader we were able to learn about Callie and Kayden individually as well as together - I was very interested in their background stories and their past. I was very involved in their lives, there are many issues and emotions from their past that have made them who they are in the present day, and throughout the story I felt a strong connection with them. I was cheering them on during the high points, and I really felt their pain during the lower moments. Their emotions are very raw and true to life, and so I found myself reaching out to them and wanting to read on to follow their journey.

This story is so raw it captures you and drags you in. there's so much pain in both of callie and kaydens lives it's a different kind of abuse that they have both injured. They have a lot of ups and downs as they try to go further in their relationship as a couple and when you finally think that all's going to be good for them and that they can finally try to move on the worst thing ever happens, omg the ending in this book is so sad I didn't see that one coming I defiantly will be eagerly awaiting for the next book. This is the first book by Jessica Sorensen that I've read and it has defiantly got me interested in her other books. I will recommend this book to all my family and friends a must read.

My Poor Kindle got cried on; shouted at and had coffee spewed on it from when I got caught mid-laugh... This book outlines the very meaning of the word romance. Callie has had a dark past, which literally broke her, she grew up an amazing person, but with absolutaly no friends, and being practically bullied because noone knows the truth as to why she suddenly changed. But WHAT WAS THAT ENDNG!!!! It was an awesome part, it was dramatic: WOW. But not as an ending!!!!! Urgh. I truly am sorry for the rant, amazon users, because this is an incredible book, but... just... Urgh. Anywho, if you're a fan of Heart on a Chain, by Cindy C Bennet, you'll love this... Or Delicate, Steph Cambell... Or Beautiful Disaster... Take you're pick.
