Recently discovered the podcasts on iTunes and the Kindle downloads on Amazon which accompany the podcasts. The format is wonderful and the pace is pitched perfectly. Both Mark (the teacher) and Anna (the student) are a joy to listen to and learn from / with. I cannot rate this highly enough. Great fun and very rewarding.

Every lesson is of the highest standard and I particularly like the songs. Each episode is a new experience and makes learning a foreign language a pleasure

5.0 out of 5 stars Book alone not sufficient need accompanying podcast. Great way to learn French 13 Jun. 2016

The Coffee Break French learning series is a wonderful way to learn French. I have been using the series for about 1 year now and started without any French background. I could probably get around as a tourist in a french speaking country at this point. Please note the books in and of themselves are not sufficient to learn French. The books are designed as a companion to the the Coffee Break French podcasts. You can get the podcasts free on a number of podcast apps (itunes, overcast, etc.) Each podcast is 15-20 minutes, so you can learn a little French each day. The books allows you to see the written words included in the podcasts. If your new to French, start the podcast and book from part 1 Lesson 1 as they build from lesson to lesson. Great program, but remember both podcasts and books are needed.
5.0 out of 5 stars Learning more from the podcasts 6 Sept. 2012

The free Coffee Break French podcasts provide a fun effective way to get started with speaking French. I bought these supplemental written materials so I could see the language as I was listening. This set of lessons includes verb conjugation and descriptions. If you are looking for a transcript of the podcast, this is it.

I don't get tired of Coffee Break French - Even 10 years ago I wouldn't have thought that a girl from Texas would learn some French with folks from Glasgow. How cool is that!
