Firstly, I do have to admit that vampire novels don't really figure in my favourite genres but I enjoy a good Mills & Boon book for a bit of light reading.

Well unfortunately this wasn't a novel for me. Unlike another reviewer, I didn't find this typical M & B at all. What I read just seemed to be sex for the sake of sex. It was there from the very first page and when I got completely fed up at the lack of any real story after the first three or four chapters, and then just flicked through until about chapter eleven, it was still sex, sex, sex.

I'm not a prude, far from it, but there has to be something more to keep me hooked and enjoying a book. For me this wasn't it, I just couldn't read anymore ~ too many excellent books out there to waste time on this novel. However, it's free and does have some really good reviews so if this is your genre there's nothing to lose really other than your time!

I enjoyed this book. It is a typical vampire/human love story with a resonable story line and likable characters. If you like this type of book it is worth a read

I found this to be a fun read, if a little typical of the vampire romance genre. Not as enjoyable as Kerrelyn Sparks Love at Stake series, but I'd certainly consider reading more in the series if they're up to this standard.

Having never reviewed a book before I wasn't sure whether to or not.
But I find that other people's opinions (albeit we have different tastes) can be influential in my decision to read a book/ buy an item etc.
I am a Vampire/ Supernatural fan and so have read a lot of books about this sort of thing, I found this book to be sexy and with emotions you would expect of this sort of genre.
The character Cody was just the sort of guy us girls want to read about, Masculine and a rebel with a heart buried under the tough exterior waiting for the right woman to find it - apart from the fact he's a vampire ofcourse!

Read the book in 2 evenings, worth a read!

Cody Braddock and his brothers arrived back to mayhem and found his mother, sister in law and nephew had been killed by a vampire and a fire started to cover up the evidence, Cody and his brothers were turned by Garret Sawyer. Cody drifted around known as Cody Boyd a rodeo bull rider. In his usual state of needing sex he meets Miranda in a bar, who provides a sexual encounter in a nearby alley resulting in Cody's first orgasm as a vampire. He can't stop the feelings he has for Miranda, she's almost engaged to a regular guy, and she wanted a night of passion before settling down. She can't stop thinking about Cody. Add in the fact that Cody is hellbent on destroying Garret for killing his mother. More substance than the usual vampire books. Quite a good read.

Good story, sad in places, better than a lot of freebies on here, worth downloading and going along for the ride.

Deleted. Honestly, what was I thinking downloading this book? Maybe because it was free (ha ha). I'm black. I don't want to read about a former Confederate soldier. Seriously. Straight away I'm against the hero. I struggled on, but gave up in the end. I didn't like the H or h so why bother reading? Nope, not me.

I wasn't expecting much from this book to be honest. I've read a lot of Mills & Boon books in the past, but never a supernatural themed one, but I thought I'd take a chance, especially since I really enjoy vampire books anyway.

I was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed the book. The plot was good, and I really enjoyed the love connection/bond between the main characters. Although it wasn't mentioned as such, it was more like a soul mate connection between them; which made me enjoy the book even more.

Sad to see the book end though. Maybe there's a part two, as Cody's story wasn't exactly finished. I will be looking for the next instalment, even if it terms out to be told from Brent's point of view.
