A different take on programming. Splendid. Probably good to start with Python Basic but you could easily use this on its own.

Students (y6 upward?) could use it will little additional help. Good for any age.

This is a modern book that will engage both young and old. The instructions are easy to follow and you can find out why you are typing in the code and what it does by reading around the instruction boxes. We are using it with secondary students that have no experience of coding with a typed language and they are able to work independently. We are starting with the first book in the series and moving on through them.

I got this to help with a junior programming course. Just not as engaging as other resources I have found but by no means the worst.

As far as I know, this is the only book aimed at teaching Python for art projects.

It is a beautiful and motivating way to acquire programming skill regardless of your age.

I am a school teacher, and decided to order these to supplement what I was already teaching.. I teach middle school and high school students, but I have also let my 8 year old work through the book. I have rally enjoyed this book and the others in the series.
