Over time the digital one would have needed a battery replacement and since I don't do a lot of knitting I thought this was the better option for me.
It only goes up to 99 but I think the difference between 99 rows and 199 rows could be clearly seen.
It doesn't come with anything to loop it round the neck you have to provide that yourself.
It's a secret disability aid, if you hae memory issues & dyscalculia.
Nae cord included(packagibg is merely an example), so maybe pick leftovers of your favourite yarn for a quick cord. Wide enough for fuzzy chunky yarns. Could even crochet a sturdy cord & it still may pass through.
Quite light also, so comfortable to wear & lift.
Mildly pricey for a small item, yet it earns its keep well if you knit & crochet quite a few projects per year.
Anyway, I love this counter - especially the lock function. The counter is practical, reasonably sturdy, brightly-coloured which is great when you're looking for it in your kit.
This counter is lightweight, small, fits nicely in one hand, and the switches especially the top button seemed to be designed for easy use with one hand.
For years I've used the tally method to keep track of rows and rounds, and now I'm saving so much time with this counter, particularly during "TV knitting".
I'm glad it's not a digital counter. It doesn't require any power sources, or fussing around. The numbers are clear to read, the clicks are not annoyingly loud, and it is well-made.
I should have bought one sooner, and I would recommend this to any knitter.
