"While this is not a pediatric neurology book, several of the contributors are pediatric neurologists, and the authors address many of the common and not so common pediatric neurological conditions. This is a worthy addition to the library of anyone with an interest in neurology." -- DOODY'S

Often many textbooks aimed for the undergraduate medical student are good for revision purposes however the extent of detail that they contain is often not sufficient for PBL objectives and as such that is where this book is highly useful. If therefore you are looking for a text that clearly explains each of the neurological conditions that you would be expected to know at a level you should be able to understand with only basic neuroanatomy understanding then this title is useful. Each chapter can be read as stand alone which is useful for the PBL objectives as you don't need to read unnecessary information.
In summary if your library has this book either in print or electronic format then consider using it to navigate your way through your neurological attachment however brief it may be. I would not however given the price tag encourage all students to purchase this book as it's very expensive given its highly respected authors but do consider doing so if you have a particular interest in entering this field as it will stand you in good stead for years to come.
