Seldom do you come across a debut novel filled with such convincing characters, compelling plot and chilling vividness that it makes the bath go cold around you! It grabs you by the throat on the first page and never let go. Each chapter propels you forward to the next with the speed of a roller coaster, driving you on to discover the truth hidden within the core of its central characters, as it explores the border between reality and delusion.
I really enjoyed this novel and was kept guessing right till the end. So if you like a good thriller and are fed up with dull predictable stories then this is the book for you!

This is one of the worst, or even the worst, thriller/crime novel I have read. I persevered with it as the other reviews were so good and thought I must be missing something along the way.
The writing was dreadful, the author used every cliche known to man at least 2 or 3 times. The plot just didn't hang together, there seemed to be three scenarios each of which didn't link in with the other two.
I could not find any other offerings by this author and assume she has produced nothing else worth publishing.
I am absolutely amazed at the other reviewer's comments.

I had never heard of this author, but intrigued by the cover and blurb, thought I'd give this book a go and I am so glad I did. With twists and turns you don't see coming and a sense of darkness throughout, this book was a complex, compelling psychological suspense thriller that was so original, I am definitely going to read her other books! If you want some holiday reading with a bit more to it than the usual crusader/holy grail tosh, then this is highly recommended.

An excellent provocative thriller.
A lively read, which is both fast-paced and hugely enjoyable.
Easily clever enough to keep you guessing and certainly entertaining enough to maintain interest throughout, it captures your attention from the very first word to the last - the author throws plenty of 'curved balls' into the plot to keep you on your toes...
The descriptions of scenes, emotional turmoil and experiences, too, are vivid, making you feel you are really participating in the story that is so shockingly realistic that you lose yourself in it, the tension building to an astonishing, gripping climax. The last 120 pages I had to read in one go late at night - because you're constantly wondering what will happen next, you never have a chance to drift off! The characters are equally well-developed and I learnt interesting things about the nature of obsessive, delusional behaviour - so convincingly does the author enter into the criminal, pathological mind...
Never a dull moment during this well-written and diverting novel that equalled anything else I've read.
Highly recommended!

I loved this book. I am someone who rarely reads, however someone had left this book at work and the title got my attention, so on my lunch break I decided to start reading. After an hour when my break was up, I was gutted as I was so enthralled, all I wanted to do was finish it. An excellent provocative thriller that hooks you in and keeps you guessing all the way through. Several times I had to put it down just to catch my breath. I can't praise this book enough. It is superbly written -both men and women will relate to the main characters.
If you borrow this from someone to read you'll soon be buying your own copy as I am now. So beg, borrow or steal but get the book! An excellent read, I highly recommend it. You will not be disappointed.
