I heard about this via an Amazon email and read all the reviews. It seemed that people had two types of experience with the product: brilliant or dreadful. Hmmm, I thought, I will give it a go anyway and I am delighted that I did. Aware that some people had said that the stuff ruined their keyboards, I was scrupulous in reading all the instructions on the package including the instruction to leave the stuff on the keyboard for no more than three to five seconds. I rolled it into a ball from the flattened and bitty pieces in the package and pressed it onto a section of the keyboard, removing it almost immediately by gently rolling the flattened lump from one side to the next. I could immediately see the dust and other debris in the stuff and the clean state of the keys that had been covered. I then flattened the roll of stuff and applied it to the next section, gently pressing it and waiting no more than two seconds before removing it as before. I continued the process until I had cleaned the whole keyboard, then moved onto my friend's laptop, and finally my desktop keyboard, all with excellent results. I think the key to applying this product is not to leave it on for too long - it will pick up debris immediately so there is no need to leave it longer than a second or two.

The best way to play with slime as a grown-up!

We recently had to move some computers around at work and I noticed that the keyboards were seriously grungy. I headed to Amazon straight away to buy some compressed air in order to sort out the grunge - and that's when I found this stuff. It looked so tempting I couldn't resist and immediately bought some!

I looks just like what you'd expect - the same green slime you used to play with in science class as a kid. It smells very faintly of lime and feels cool to the touch. There's a bit of a trick to using it, but it's easy enough to figure out after a few seconds: you have to press gently but firmly and sort of roll the slime around without pressing it too far down (one reviewer mentioned getting it stuck underneath the keys, but you're not really meant to be pushing it that far down!). Also, avoid dragging or pulling it across the keys as it will leave tiny little bits of slime behind. The best method seems to be spreading it across one section of the keyboard, rolling it around in one place with your fingers, then pulling it up and re-forming the ball before moving it to another part of the keyboard. Once you get the hang of it, it's very easy and fast and surprisingly effective!

I should note that I combined this product with a keyboard brush from Avlink (http://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B003GSNM9E), which I used to get all of the deep-down gunk out from between and underneath the keys before tackling the keyboard with the slime. This combination means that all of the keyboards at work are now cleaner than they have been since the day we bought them. I cleaned eight keyboards in about a half an hour and I can't think of the last time I've done something so satisfying at work. I almost felt guilty being paid to do it!

I use this to clean the inside of my car, and for the hard plastic surfaces it works brilliantly. But keep your eye on it as mine spread out quite a lot and covered a fabric surface and it was impossible to get off and stained the fabric.

It comes in a foil package which once opened can be a bit fiddly to re-use and re-seal. I would recommend using a small Tupperware box to keep it in. Don’t let it dry out, it won’t work as well.

I use the one packet on my own keyboard and I was amazed at how dirty my keyboard was as it was sparkling. Our son came back to live with us and I told him about this product and he showed me his keyboard and told me I would never get it was clean mind you it was bogging so I challenged him and told him I will get it clean . It took me a little while but the cleaner did his job . My son could not believe it as it looked like it was when it was new. I would give it over 100% marks if I could. PRODUCT ALMOST RUINED MY ALIENWARE KEYBOARD

When I first opened the package, I tried to take the product out and to my surprise, it "broke" into 3 different parts. But I thought this item was supposedly to be gooey and so I just rolled it into one big lump again. I remembered reading all the negative reviews not to leave it too long on your property and follow the instructions. Well, I read the instructions thoroughly and I followed the steps precisely. I tested it on the corner of the keyboard of my Alienware laptop. I pressed it down and took it off as soon as, literally just one second. I'm not an angry person but I was so furious as soon as I saw tiny lumps were stuck underneath my keyboard. I spent hoursssss trying to take those bits off my keyboard as what you can see in the video. DONT BUY THIS PRODUCT! If only I could get my money back! I could still see slime still stuck under my keyboard

I purchased this item to help clean up the disgusting state that my laptop has gotten into (mainly because I take it to work and it gets covered in dust and dirt).
I took the slimy substance and rolled it out over my keyboard and to my surprise it actually picked up a surprising amount of dirt, grit and grime!
I went on to use it on my remote controls, mobile phone, gamepads and even my electric keyboard and got the same results.
I rolled it back into a ball and placed it inside the sealed bag that it came with which has kept it moist even months later.
It does have a strange smell but it doesn’t linger for more then few minutes.
Great product for lifting out grime and dust but it doesn’t actually clean the item so you will still need to polish it afterwards.
I would buy it again in the future.

So We did not use this on a keyboard we used it on the millennium falcon.....not quite the real one but the LEGO one.....It took my OH ages to make and takes me a lifetime to dust without breaking it. LEGO does collect dust and it is hard to clean around this little circles but omg this is the answer. In the picture is a piece before and after only 10 mins of cleaning all of his large Lego sets. And I only used maybe 1/5 of what is in the pack. It is amazing
