8 Classic Albums on 4 CDs at under a tenner make this a really great buy.

Just like its sister CD set Volume One
8 Classic Albums the CDs, inserts and discs have minimal information on them but the old saying 'at this price you can't complain' still it has a nice CD inlay pic of Connie which looks really good at this 'cheap as chips' price.

The Real Gone Jazz label has garnered some really good reviews for sound quality.
The digitally enhanced sound is a good indicator but for a proper review I really suggest you read other, more knowledgeable people's reviews.
The collection is on 4 CDs encased in a double wide jewel case

BUT like a whole lot of releases there is no track listing so I have provided one in the hope that it will be of both use and interest to the buyer.

Again if you spot any mistakes.. just add a comment and I will adjust and credit you with the correction. Honestly!
We all want to make our choices and viewing more pleasurable?

8 Classic Albums Volume 2 by Connie Francis is a fine CD release. Albums are 1961 Sing Along With Connie Francis, 1961 Songs To A Swinging Band, 1961 Connie Francis At The Copa, 1961 Connie Francis Sings Never On Sunday, 1961 Connie Francis Sings Folk Song Favorites, 1962 Connie Francis Sings Irish Favorites, 1962 Do The Twist, and 1962 Connie Francis Sings Second Hand Love. This is a great and inexpensive way to pick up Connie's early albums. Particular songs I enjoy are, Swanee, Never On Sunday, Three Coins In The Fountain, Love Is A Many Splendored Thing, Careless Love, Hey Ring-A-Ding, Second Hand Love, Together, Don't Break The Heart That Loves You, When The Boy In Your Arms, It Happened Last Night, and Breakin' In A Brand New Broken Heart. With 92 Connie Francis songs here, you just cannot go wrong. Connie Francis fans, and lovers of great pop music of the 1960's will like this the most.

Luckily there is enough info for this artist on the net to get the info anout the songs in the collection. I already had about half of the stuff on vinyl (inclusive data) too. A bit more info in print and I would have loved the collection.

Put this on my player, and didnt like the first 10 tracks (from the Sing Along with Connie Francis album). But then ...wow... 'How Long Has This Been Going On' etc etc.

Im not a Connie Francis fan, but always ready to give music a go, and these 4cd compilations are amazing. What have you got to lose?

Wonderful value

Perosnally I only bought it for 'At The Copa' to replace my scratchy worn out LP and this was chaper than buying the single album. If you are a Connie fan then you will probably like all of the albums on here but I was never a great fan of the 'Connie Sings......' albums and folk songs and Irish songs are not really my forte! By the time I got to the last album I was starting to feel it was all a bit too much for me and I also find that like so many singers of this period, digital remastering and cleaner sounds do not always benefit their voices and show up some of the weak points you don't notice in glorious Mono from a stack-filled flip-top Dansette!

This 4 CD set is very good and value for money, but unfortunately there is a tiny glitch in track 9 of Disc 2,
the Al Jolson Medley from the album Connie Francis At The Copa, at the end of My Mammy just before Toot Toot Tootsie.
This flaw has later been copied over to the 2015 10 CD box set Connie Francis, 19 Original Albums & Bonus Tracks.
It took me over two years to spot it. For instance the Hallmark release of At The Copa does not suffer from this tiny glitch.

Some tracks have been over re-mastered but most are good. I have found that a lot of supposedly re-mastered CDs just have the higher frequencies cut and so sound a bit muffled in places. Still Connie Francis is always worth a listen.
