First, I was very pleased with the condition of the used copy I recieved. The only clue that it wasn't new was a bit of paper in between some pages someone had used as a placemark! For the price I can't complain.
I do plan to build a model of one of these locomotives some day, so the information within will prove useful although the included drawings lack certain dimensions. The arrangement of the unusual bogie framing remains a mystery to me. The included pictures of the loco's being built are helpful.
However, I believe the stated aim of the book was to help owners of ready to run models find the details about the different members of these classes and as pictures of all sides of every one at every time in their long existence would be impossible to present, I don't see how this edition could be bettered except with fold out 7mm scale drawings!
