Product Description

From the Back Cover

On again, off again. Together. Apart. The only thing Jude and Lucy agree on is their all-consuming love. That, and fighting all the time . . .

Especially when it comes to reining in Jude's trigger-touch temper and overcoming the tragedy that connects Jude's and Lucy's pasts. Also not helping? Lucy's raging jealousy of the cheerleader who's attached herself to Jude in almost every way possible. With the stress of trying to hang on to her quintessential bad boy while training to be the top dancer in her class, Lucy knows something's going to give . . . soon.

How can she live without the boy she loves? How can she live with herself if she gives up on her dreams? If Lucy doesn't make the right choice, she could lose everything.

Following the bittersweet ending of Crash, we follow Lucy and Jude to college where they try to navigate the minefield that is their relationship as well as the pitfalls of a long distance relationship.

There is a `hold your breath' type of chemistry between Jude and Lucy that you can feel pouring from the pages right from the start. Both of them have been damaged by the same event that destroyed both of their families, at times it feels as if fate is playing a nasty trick on them. I did feel as if Jude was a bit blinkered regarding his fathers actions; he really needed to face reality and stop blaming Lucy's father for his own fathers actions.

While Jude proves time and time again his love for Lucy, she finds it difficult to let him in fully because of these past events and the trauma she has suffered. She is afraid of letting go completely, she is very pessimistic about their relationship (at times understandably so) however, this negativity puts additional strain on their relationship.

Both Lucy and Jude are passionate, impulsive people making any disagreement more volatile especially where jealousy is involved.

Throw in a conniving barbie bitch of a cheerleader , Adriana, into the mix and you have a volcano ready to erupt. This isn't the first book I've read that involves cheerleaders/spirit sisters that cater for `ALL' the players needs. I've got to be honest these bimbos give women a bad name and quite frankly make me a little sick. I cheered Lucy on when she took action against Adriana.

I loved Jude's friend, Holly, she is so open and fun, lightening the tension with her quips. Holly is able to make Lucy stand up for herself in a really imaginative way.

I was really pleased to see that this follow-up to CRASH, was available. I loved the first book. But this one not so much. There was so much conflict in this story, it was an emotional rollercoaster. Jude and Lucy's jealousy of each other became a little tiresome. Jude would go off if another guy even looked at Lucy. But he wasn't so adept at understanding when Lucy got jealous of the cheerleader who had set her sights on Jude. I'll admit Lucy at times was annoying, but there were times she was justified. This was quite a short read compared to the first book. So it felt a little rushed to me.

To sum up the H/h constant bickering and arguing was a bit OTT, I was begining to feel that they did not have a future together. But having said that, for fans it is essential reading.

The boy can do no wrong. You must read book one, Crash, before reading this one. Jude Ryder and Lucy are now in the state of New York trying to survive being in different colleges, five hours apart, whilst learning to love and trust. Half the time I wanted to slap Lucy around the face and tell her to get a grip and see Jude for the sappy sod he really was. But she is young, naive and needs to grow the hell up, fast before she loses the man who makes her whole.

The book is flawed and isn't perfect, but you'll be reading book 2 because you love Jude Ryder, that's what I keep telling myself.

It's another easy page turner with some witty writing, I think that's what made the reading most enjoyable.

My only frustration with this book is that it took Lucy so long to realise how perfect Jude is for her! She annoyed me a few times for continuously walking away from the person that was so utterly perfect for her! I love Nicolas writing and will definitely be buying the next book! S

I thought it couldn't get better than Crash but this was even better! It gave Jude and Lucy's story a new depth and really developed their characters. I couldn't recommend this book and Crash enough. I don't know what else to say except read it, you won't regret it!

Sequel in this genre are, 99.9% of the time...pants. And unfortunately Clash ran true to form. Whereas you might have stomached Lucy through Crash, in this second book you really just wanted her to fall on her face during one of her ballet recital and never get up again; not 'dead' per se but maybe?....In a suspended state of consciousness? Where she lived happily on an alternate plain, but we never had to 'hear' her? Yeah, that. Back and forth this silly bint of a girl went. 'I love him and I want to be with him' 'I love him but we are better apart.' Back and forth, back and forth all the while leading our hapless hero Jude behind her by the nose. She termed their 'Romeo-and-Juliet-level passion'(I kinda gagged when I read that in the blurb, I should have known to stay well away. I mean, really? No.) as a roller-coaster ride, well if I'd have been Jude I'd have regurgitated my stomach all over her hair...

In fact the best thing about these two books is all The Beatles song references, and I'm not even that big a fan of The Beatles!

NB Oh Lord I just realised there's a 3rd book.....It's at times like this that I wish I wasn't so anal about finishing what I start...
