hour shift and feet feel good, I have tried other shoes and had aches and pains in feet but not with these. Some say they not attractive but I like their retro feel and great comfort so I can do my job. I always get a size larger than normal. Hope this review is helpful .
The shoes arrived well packaged and very promptly and were good value for the price, so I have no issues with the seller. It's just a pity that for some reason they seem to be cut slightly smaller that in the past.
1) the crinkled leather variety
2) the solid leather variety
The first (like the blue, black & others) are of the first variety, this makes a difference if your foot doesn't quite match the width fitting (definitely like mine!) because the crinkled leather allows the shoe to flex and adjust more easily. So they are definitely quicker, easier and less painful (always a good point) to break in. The only trouble is that they generate static, you only have to have had the experience of solidly zapping yourself once, to make sure you earth yourself (on anything) before touching that metal window handle.... :-)
The other type, well the solid leather (I had a brown pair) is a swine (pain, much) to break in, I think I should have chucked mine away I had that much "trouble" breaking them in. However now they have gone to the dustbin because the rubber on the heal actually imploded.... Didn't much like the solid leather variety, always slightly difficult to get on.
Shame I forgot I was wearing them when testing my speedway bike out and wore the soles off in a nano second of stupidity !
Oh, They must make these out of softer material as I didn't need to do the bath routine with them !
However this most recent pair is noticeably smaller in width. Not sure if these maybe a cheap imported copy?? I used to be able to get 2 pairs of socks on in the winter months, I have only been able to put one thin pair on and I'm feeling the pinch. Maybe the price is an indication of the quality.... Forewarned is forearmed.... 😐
