Clare Gogerty is a journalist who spent several years travelling the UK coastline as editor of Coast magazine. She continues to be great enthusiast for all things coastal, and writes about her travels for a variety of newspapers, magazines and in several books. Favourite places include tidal islands, shingle spits, estuaries and promenades. She thinks that there are fewer things as pleasurable as a crab sandwich eaten on a harbour wall.
Clare is also associate editor of The Simple Things magazine, where she indulges her love for the curious and the cosy. Among the topics she has written about for the magazine are lucid dreaming, modern pilgrimages, the carpet sweeper, dungarees, British islands, and supper on the sofa. These examples and others can be seen on her website http://claregogerty.co.uk.
