What's The Nice 'N Easy Way to Expert Hair Colour?
Sometimes your most natural hair colour isn’t the one you were born with. And it needn’t come from a salon either. Because Nice ‘n Easy’s Colour Blend technology gives you expert highlights and lowlights in just a few simple steps. No wonder it’s one of the UK’s most-trusted hair colour.
Nice 'n Easy builds irresistible tones into every strand by mimicking those found in natural, uncoloured hair. It’s the secret to dimensional colour with radiant shine.
The Science Behind the Shade
Nice ‘n Easy features colour Blend Technology for tones and highlights built into every shade in one simple step – a key to anti-flat hair colour
Each shade in the Nice ‘n Easy palette has at least three tones, so all shades mimic the tones closest to those found in natural, uncoloured hair for optimal levels of natural dimension.
Research shows that tonal differences in blonde hair are larger than tonal differences in dark hair. Nice ‘n Easy has translated this into colour Blend Technology, offering golden shades that give you colour with less brassiness and high-definition dimension.
The result? Hair colour that simply comes to life with irresistible tones & highlights and 100% grey coverage.
THREE STEPS TO YOUR SHADE
Prepare to Colour
Pour the Colour Blend Activator and the Colour Blend Formula into applicator bottle
Shake well until the colour has totally blended and the mixture has thickened
Immediately apply the colour to your hair
Part your hair into small, even sections using the applicator tip
Apply colour first to your roots and stubborn greys
Leave on for approx. 25 minutes
Rinse and Gloss
Add a small amount of warm water and massage into a lather. Rinse until water runs clear
Apply the ColourSeal Conditioning Gloss to condition and lock in highlights and shine
Save remaining ColourSeal Conditioning Gloss and continue to use once a week (after shampooing) in place of your usual conditioner

FAQs About Hair Colour
How can I try a hair colour before colouring all my hair?
Try a strand test. It’s easy to do, and you’ll find all the instructions in your hair colour box.
How many boxes of Nice ‘n Easy will I need if I have long hair?
That all depends on how long it is. If it falls below your shoulders or it’s very thick, you’ll probably need two boxes to get full coverage.
Should I wash my hair just before I colour it?
You should only wash your hair 24 hours before you colour it.
Why is the bottom of my hair darker or lighter than the top?
If you apply colour to your whole head when your roots are showing, you’ll end up colouring the ends of your hair as well. The ends absorb more colour, causing build-up and making the bottom of your hair darker. You can avoid this by following the instructions for Root Application only. You could also try Root Touch Up, designed just for roots.
Does hair type affect colour timing?
Yes. Coarse hair generally takes more time to absorb colour, so you’ll need to leave Nice ‘n Easy in for longer. Fine hair usually needs a little less time.
When should I start timing my hair colour application?
You should start as soon as you’ve finished applying the colour.
Can I use my own conditioner instead of the conditioner in the hair colour box?
The ColourSeal Conditioning Gloss you’ll find in the box has been specifically tested and created to soften your hair after colouring and to leave it with a healthy looking shine.
Oops! I don't like the colour – what do I do now?
Give our Clairol hair colour experts a ring on 0800 181 184 (1-800-535-909 in Ireland). They’re here to help.
How do I keep my hair colour looking vibrant and beautiful – and prevent fading?
You should reapply Nice ‘n Easy every six weeks or so and try to keep your hair out of the sun. Make sure you wash your hair after swimming and always use shampoos and conditioners formulated especially for colour-treated hair.

I have quite a lot of grey around the face and crown, and am (was??) a deep natural brunette. I chose a lighter shade than my nat shade so I can leave it on longer and not get that solid dark dyed hair look.
Lasting about 6 shampoos which seems fine and I will continue to use this.
No hair damage or henna reaction at all!!
