About the Author

Evangeline Anderson is a registered MRI tech who would rather be writing. And yes, she is nerdy enough to have a bumper sticker that says “I’d rather be writing.” Honk if you see her! She is thirty-something and lives in Florida with a husband, a son, and two cats. She had been writing erotic fiction for her own gratification for a number of years before it occurred to her to try and get paid for it. To her delight, she found that it was actually possible to get money for having a dirty mind and she has been writing paranormal and Sci-fi erotica steadily ever since.

This is one of the most entertaining erotic romances I've read in years. It's a good long read with something to get your teeth into - no pun intended. It's brilliantly conceived concepts and descriptions of graduated passions building with oh such tension are sublime. It had me in stitches over where milk & cheese come from, from an alien's point of view! Not forgetting the pizza & sushi from the Kindred's stance!. On sexual technical merit it must knock every human male off their podium, and what a concept 'the mating fist' - however, I would love to make every man read & learn the gorgeously erotic ways to turn a girl on & be a success in the bedroom department!!!!! And any woman who had a lover like this would be faithful unto death. This would make a nun melt & turn her back on her chastity vows! Loved it, adored it, bought the other two in the series. Only negative is; the glossary on Kindredness on kindle is at the end & if you don't know it's there till the end it's less than helpful. Either put it at the beginning or with a note that it exists and the KB place for accessing it. What a treasure & find Evangeline Anderson has been for me. 5++++stars from me!

Lets be real here, when you decide to read an 'erotic romance' you expect to have your sexual fires stired and roared to life. Well this one accomplished that perfectly along with the added bonus of a decent romance. I downloaded it last night about 9pm thinking I'll read for a bit before going to sleep believing it would take me several days to get through it. What I didn't expect was to be finishing it a 5am! God I'm knackered now but it was so worth it.

In short I found the storyline good and believeable. Also funny at times to the extent that I woke the kids with my laughter around 2am. They were not happy teens!!! It seemed to have so many different elements that I found it a well rounded story. Romance, comedy, tragedy(lump in throat) and lots of hot, heart thumping sex that even I found it hard to sit still.

Been in work all day but just downloaded the next two in the series, Hunted and Sought. At £[] for each book at the moment, I think the family will be taking care of themselves for a day or so!!!

The only issue I have, and it's only a small one, is there were several download errors such as missing little words and a name wrongly printed. Should've been Liv, not Jilly. Like I said very minor so my 5 star rating stays. Any more than that and it would've spoiled the book a bit.

Highly reccomended and will be looking at this author for more great reads.

I agree completely with Carocaro's review, read this first book last weekend and actually read it as often as I could throughout the day and by the following weekend had read all three books in the series. Not often I can find a series that is entertaining, funny, pure escapism and will keep it to re-read later in the year. Well deserved 5*

I bought this then went onto read the other two in the series, eagerly awaiting the fourth book. Its a really refreshing read its about aliens, before I bought these books I was like oh is this going to be like that film earth girls are easy. HOWEVER I was so glad I read them, she is really good with characters and men that love to chase. Its got some really funny moments too. Sometimes its frustrating your like shouting at the heroine in your head! However she introduces characters really well and has a flowing writing style. Read them they are good and a refreshing change from, vamps, weres, angels, demons, and psy people. Ive read alot of books in this genre.

This is the first book in intriguing paranormal/alien romance. I was recommended this book by Audible due to my browsing history. I decided to give it a try.

This audiobook is narrated by Anne Johnstonbrown. Although she read this book clearly and succinctly, I found her interpretation of Olivia a little grating. I am not overly fond of whiny female protagonists. Unfortunately, this is how Anne Johnstonbrown's interpretation of Olivia's character comes across as.

Olivia Waterhouse is ordinary human who finds herself conscripted into a contract with one of the Kindred, an alien species that has made a deal with the governments of Earth in return for protection from a rival alien race, the Scourge. I liked her feisty and determined resistance as she struggles with her attraction for Baird.

Baird is a Beast Kindred and is determined to claim Olivia as his bride. I really like this man, he is a warrior with a warm heart. His patience with Olivia's resistance is stretched a little thin at times, but he is gentle with her as he tries to break down her walls.

This story is told through the eyes of Liv and Baird, although Liv's twin sister, Sofia, and Baird's half brother, Sylvan also have their say. Right from the start, the story intrigued me. Aliens who require human females to help keep their population up sounds like fun, right? I liked the premise. However, the execution left a little to be desired at times. I kept thinking that Olivia could have done things a little differently. Nevertheless, I found the story entertaining. This book is full of funny incidents and misunderstandings that had me either grinning or giggling. The massage mat called a "Touch Me" was in one scene that had me giggling.
