Just flipping through these cards you start to get a sense of the city. and if you buy these before you travel, by the time you get to Barcelona your appetite will be truly whetted.
Looking through these cards it's so easy to plan what your going to see and how your going to do it. And there's nothing like hitting the streets to get intimate with the city. But if you've ever stood on a foreign street corner not knowing which way to go next, you'll appreciate a friendly nudge in the right direction.
What's great is that the nudge seems to come from such an expert hand. The writer of these cards is the writer of several very good lonely planet guides. I guess it is this lineage that gives these card a hipper, inside track feel. As well as steering you through all the sights you want to see, you'll see some of the quirkier sides of this exciting city and some areas that are just that bit off the beaten track.
A real bonus is; if you want to travel light, try to blend in like a local, leave the guide book at your room and just slip a card in your pocket, and off you go.
The design of these is really nice, they are well put together and a pleasure to flip through.
I bought these as a present for a friend who loves to trail us around when we're away and they went down really well. So if your the type of person who loves to explore the streets of your destination, you really would be doing yourself a favour to pick these cards up, as they are a great take on the tourist guide.
