‘A thrilling end to this outstanding trilogy’
Waterstone’s Books Quarterly

--This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

From the Author

The Vampire Generals have been betrayed. Forces gathering in the darkness threaten to overwhelm Vampire Mountain and destroy the entire vampire clan. Only one person can stop them, a half-vampire called Darren Shan. But he has been sentenced to death and was last seen disappearing down a stream into the stomach of the mountain ...

The third, concluding part of the Vampire Mountain trilogy is a fast-paced, savage, blood-soaked novel. From the brutal opening chapters to the battle between the forces of the night, this is a book designed to grip from the start and squeeze to the finish. If you wish to ride the currents of fierce underground waters, hunt with wolves, and fight alongside an army of spiders -- then this is the book for you!

The Saga of Darren Shan. Not just a story, but a way of life -- and death ... --This text refers to an alternate Paperback edition.

This book was definitely worth the wait -although not as "gripping" as a few of the previous ones, it really took off on its own with respect to Darren finding his way amongst the vampires and reconciling his beliefs with those of the vampires. A comfortable and familiar read - can't wait for the next book, Darren Shan! :)

I've read all nine books of the Saga of Darren Shan published so far, and I must say that the whole set of Darren Shan is simply---amazing.(Except maybe the fourth book, it is a bit boring, but it is a turning point of the events happened later, so it is also a must-read.)
I bought the 9 books one afternoon because my friend keeping urging me to read the books, and remarked that Darren Shan is BETTER than J.K. Rowling. After I've read all 9 books, I think it is very much TRUE.(If you don't believe, read it yourself!)
The books are so addictive that i can't stop reading even when eating meals and i sleep at 2a.m. every night in order to finish the books.
In the books, you will find that Darren Shan, the main character in the books, has brain, strength and luck of vampire with him. He admire the loyalty of vampires, and he tried hard to do so. He is a hero to all vampires. I admire his character and always trying to copy the ways he did when facing dificulties and challenges.
You will learnt a lot from reading this set of books --- The Saga of Darren Shan. Therefore, I encourage all readers who like adventures and horror stories to read them, for your own sake.

Having read the demonata book's and then the Larten Krepsley saga I set to reading the Darren Shan saga but ran out of steam after about book four, too long with the same author who knows, the last month or so I have struggled to find and finish a book that I truly wanted to read, so thought I'd come back and try again with book five,it was like pulling on your favourite pair of slippers I just eased back into it all like I'd never been away, reading that is pure simple and most of all pleasurable.
Dave.

I have read book 1 - 7 i am badly looking forward to number 8 because every book is writen cleverly with a twist revealing secrets linking each book with new characters and old explaining about the past of some characters and confusing until the end It's hard to explain it all but i would recomend this book to anyone at all it is a good read and leaves you blood thirsty, wanting to read the next one the characters are so realistic darren shan seems capable of anything he just goes and sits down and it seem like he writes the first thing that comes into his head I wouuld love to meet him hope this is helpful from me

Format: Paperback
This is the 6th book in the Darren Shan series of books, all about the teenager Darren Shan, who is a half-vampire. This book, like the ones before it in the series, is short, breathless, gruesome, thought-provoking, and terribly addictive and enjoyable. From the start it grips readers like a vice, which won't let go until the reader has finished! At the end the reader is left gagging for the next one, and as a new book in the saga is published about every 5 months, they won't have long to wait!
I would urge anybody to read the Darren Shan books (in the right order, of course, starting with "Cirque du Freak") - because if they do, they are in for a bloodbath of the thought-provoking world that is Darren Shan!

I have read all 10 of Darren Shan's books, and this by far is one of the best. It is a mixture of excitment, emotion and adventure.
It is an awesome end to the second trilogy in the saga. The only down point about this book is that it does not last very long, once you pick it up it is immpossible to put down again; i finished it in under two days!
