What can I say, I used to love the band and half-wish that they called it a day after Bounce (their last good-ish album in my opinion...my fave is These Days). I just wonder if they are running out of material, I mean, when you have got the world at your finger tips, and have done for years and years, achieved what they have achieved, what else is their to write about, where is the inspiration going to come from?

He can still belt them out, and they can can still put together a good tune, just a bit flat in content.
I'm sure they have got deeper wells they can drink from (from time to time you do hear of their personal troubles, we all have them!), I wonder if they are just a bit trapped in writing the same old songs for the same old audience and don't want to break a mold that is too established.

I would kill for them to come out with something like Always, Lie to Me, Keep the Faith, and so on. I think those days are gone however, not sure if I will take a risk for another BJ album again (okay...I prob will!!)

Having been a fan of all Bon Jovi albums from 2000 onwards,I have enjoyed "Have a nice day","Lost highway" and their latest offering "The circle" the most.
It's a great combination of Rockers and Ballads,with Jon's song writing talents better and sharper than ever combined with Richie's guitar playing up at front and centre......where it rightfully belongs.
It's difficult to single out a favourite tune-as they're all great for the most part-but if songs like "We weren't born to follow","Superman tonight","Broken promise land" and "Learn to love" are anything to go by,then any future album releases are guaranteed to be a surefire winner amongst their many legions of fans around the globe.
Well done guys!!!

Before the release Bon Jovi stated this would be a bit back to basics...the blazing rock roots and with that in mind and being a huge fan of Lost Highway, I ordered the CD and listened to it and the result? I was shocked. I felt is was a cheap, flat release with the similar dullness as These Days. Being stubborn I listened again to it with a different state of mind..take a way the hopes and dreams and add to it the prayers of finding some positive to it and the prayers were answered. The fact is that this CD is amazing in so many ways. With blazing rocker like We Were't Born To Follow, with the mysical When We Were Beautiful, with the amazing Bullet and with one that stucks to my mind constantly Brokenpromisedland like a clue. The craftmanship in the playing is fresh, different and more progressive than back to the roots. The new sounds, new vibe and new flavour...make this CD both current and fresh....for you Bon Jovi fans you are willing to be amazed and thrilled at the same time...buy this CD and you will feel the magic and chills of joy over and over again. P.s think about the fact that this was supposed to be a greatest hits realease and instead you get this amazing bundle of magic and joy. You are a very lucky fan :)
