Christopher Goulding lives in Newcastle upon Tyne, where he is an English teacher at the Royal Grammar School.
He has a PhD in English Literature from the University of Newcastle upon Tyne. His areas of expertise in the subject are: the Shelley circle; Romanticism, Enlightenment and the sciences; and the development of the novel in the late 18th/early 19th century. He has a number of academic publications in these areas.
He is also a published historian of the North East of England with a special interest in the history of Newcastle upon Tyne and wider Tyneside. Chris has appeared in a number of TV documentaries as an expert contributor on these subjects.
Chris is also a published children's author and has done a number of readings in schools and community/public settings.
