Emily (Sarah Paulson, Studio 60 on the Sunset Strip) and Ben (Eric Mabius, Ugly Betty) met on Christmas day two years ago and now plan to marry on this Christmas day which is only a month away. When Emily, who has always dreamt of a perfect wedding, gets called away for work it is up to Ben to deal with all the plans. Misunderstandings and problems arise as procrastinator Ben gets sucked into the world of bridal shows and seating charts, while perfectionist Emily tries to keep tabs from afar but sees her perfect day spinning out of control. When a freak storm threatens to strand Emily, she realizes nothing else matters but making it home to Ben for their Christmas Wedding.

This movie was first performed in 2006 on TV, and filmed in Halifax/Nova Scotia in Canada. It might not be "the classic" Christmas story, but it is very funny and catches you by all means. It is amusing and very well and naturally played and the characters are believable. Easily such a funny plot could change into something totally odd, but this story does not. You follow the protagonists with eagerness, joy and laughter and sometimes with some hidden tears in your eyes.
The prize of this DVD is very good, so you can do nothing wrong buying and trying...;D.
I recommend this film for the most wonderful time of the year but also for before and after - it might not bring you right away into a Christmassy mood but surely will amuse you....
The film is nothing spectacular, but ok for a little light xmasy entertainment....although storywise, its pretty much like a lot of other films.

Disappointed I had to pay to watch this film cos it wasn't much better than a cheesy TV Xmas movie.Published 3 months ago by Lynne G.
I would of liked a beter ending! A thoughtless boss had 'The Bride to be' shattered.Published 18 months ago by Ruth Maystar
