Product Description

ELECTRIC CHOCOLATE MELTING POT INCLUDES: 1 X BASE UNIT + MELTING POT 1 X PLASTIC SPATULA 1 X DRAINING RACK 10 X PLASTIC SKEWERS 10 X PLASTIC FORKS 1 X SPIRAL FORK 1 X FLAT CHOCOLATE MAKING FORK 6 X CHOCOLATE PVC MOULDS (HEART, BEAR, SQUARE, COFFEE BEAN, STAR & CHRISTMAS TREE) 1X BIG HEART 1 X ENGLISH MANUAL PKG: EACH SET IN A GIFT BOX The Chocolate Melting Pot Chocolatiere lets you create great tasting chocolate sweets at home. Chocolate is conventionally melted on the stove top. The chocolate hardens the second the pot is taken off the stove, and much of the chocolate goes to waste. The Chocolatiere is different, because it's an electric chocolate melting pot, so the chocolate stays melted and soft. You don't need to boil water, or turn your stove on. It can be used as an electric fondue and looks great on a table with a selection of fruit and sweets to tempt your guests. Contents - 1 x Basic unit, 1 x Melting Pot, 1 x Spatula, Cord and UK Plug, 1 x Draining Rack, 6 x Moulds (heart, bear, square, coffee bean, star, Christmas tree), 1 x Large heart shaped mold for filling with ice cream, fruit, cream etc, 10 x wooden skewers for chocolate fondue, 10 x Plastic forks for fruit, 1 x Spiral fork for truffle dipping, 1 x Flat chocolate-making fork for handing square chocolates, Operating instructions and recipes.

I have now purchased 3 of these melting pots. they are fantastic.
I can now have white plain and milk melting at one time so I can create
lovely chocolates with out waiting. the accessories are good, and I have used
most of them, the teddie molds i have done in white chocolate and put them on my easter eggs.

Once i have finished, i put the pots in the dishwasher with no problem, and wipe clean the base with kitchen roll, as good as new.

I have been bought a lot of kitchen gadgets over the years, but this one gets used.

A lovely set, but I would advise serious chocolate-makers to use silicone moulds - which can be bought from Poundland - or for a wider variety of shapes - go to the Lakeland website.
I keep my set in a plastic container along with all the moulds - so I can whip up a quick and easy gift at any time.
Always keep it simple and just make a few chocolates at a time - perhaps a gift for a hostess or a Mother's Day offering. If you over-stretch yourself, you will not enjoy the process and will rapidly tire of the sight of chocolate!
Basic supermarket bars of milk, plain and white chocolate are sufficient to get you started - but for a touch of luxury, you can buy bags of melting chocolate from Thorntons outlets.

I bought this as I often make Cake Pops and chocolates and figured it would make life easier, and I was not dissappointed. Its brilliant, works really well and I now have chocolates with no bloom due to the temperature being correct. Highly recommended

Finally, a chocolate melter that actually does what it says on the packet. It has two settings, and the higher setting really can melt a whole, family sized bar of chocolate - and then the lower setting keeps it melted while you dip your fruit.

It comes with a load of moulds - I am not so sure about those, they look a bit stiff and I wonder how easy the chocolate would be to get out - but then we did not want to make shapes, just have a steady supply of melted chocolate.

After being on a chocolate making course, I wished to make the same mess in my own kitchen, however I found this product extremely easy to use and made no mess! The pot melts the chocolate very quickly and keeps it at a good temperature so no lumps form. The main product cools quite quickly once turned off and all is very easy to clean. Moulds are good for playing with but not the best for tapping air bubbles out unless you have small hands. Would make lovely gift for children or adults wishing to try something different. Will be buying another so can have white and plain chocolate to play with at same time :)

My 9 year old daughter had this for her birthday to go with her cakepop maker. In general it works really well. Very simple to use so perfect for budding young chefs. It melts the chocolate quickly and kept it at a nice runny consistency whilst coating the cakepops. My only slight criticism is that the handle on the inner pot does feel a little flimsy. Not really a major issue but does feel like it would snap if you weren't careful.
Haven't tried out the choc moulds yet so can't comment on those.

it seems to be okay, but it's so so small. Would have preferred something much larger. I shall have to continue my hunt for a proper 'home tempering' machine. Think this wilL be passed to the grandchildren!!! DISAPPOINTED.
