My daughter loved this book and all the great pictures. It has a moral to the story and is easy to follow. I can see we will have to read this time and time again. Thankyou

4.0 out of 5 stars Chicken Bob's job 8 Jan. 2014
By Jbarr5 - Published on Amazon.com

Chicken Bob, The adventure of courage and responsibility (children stories)
Illustrated few colorful pictures, children's book about chicken bob and how his job for the day is to take the young chickens into the woods and show them around. He has to keep them safe from harm also.
Bob is so proud and then it's lunchtime for the chickies and he takes a nap after telling them to stay close. There is a lurker and he's up to no good.
Emily, one little chick has seen what's happened and when Bob wakes up she tells him but he just wants to go home and get punished for losing the young chickens.
Does he have the courage to save the chickens? Audio book is also available from the author inside this book.
4.0 out of 5 stars The story of responsibility, courage and a first job. 18 Jan. 2014
By T. J. Keeven - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
Chicken Bob w as given his first job with a lot of responsibility watching over his younger chick siblings. After a short time on the job Bob made a wrong decision. He did not think much about his decision and promptly went to sleep. Upon waking he quickly discovered his multiple problems and almost gave up. Luckily he found little chick Emma, believed her version of events and the two promptly set out to find and rescue their chick siblings. The two of them thought of and planned their rescue, which went very well, in fact it was carried out so well the Fox was frightened away and the little chicks were promptly return e d home safely. Father was not pleased about Bob's nap while working but was so Impressed with Bobs bravery and quick action while rescuing the chicks he made Bob a rooster and gave him a permanent job tending the chicks daily. Everyone was very happy.
A lot of great lessons along the way, great story for young children and a few adults too.

4.0 out of 5 stars SOMETHING TO CROW ABOUT 19 May 2013
By Barbara Mojica - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition Verified Purchase
This book comes with a bonus. When you make the purchase, you will be given a free audio book. Chicken Bob is no longer a youngster, but he has not yet proved himself an adult rooster. One day his father gives him the responsibility of taking his younger brothers and sister into the woods for a walk. Bob thinks this is an easy task until he falls asleep. Of course there is a fox lurking behind a nearby tree. When Bob wakes up, only his sister remains and all his brothers have disappeared. The two of them go on a quest to find the siblings. Will Bob return home a failure? What will his father do? The text in this book is challenging and long enough to be an early chapter book for independent readers. The author informs us that this is a tale passed down from generation to generation in his family which makes it more endearing.

This is a cute book. It would be great if it had more images making it more phone friendly for kids. It was responsive, which helped.
