Help your children travel in style with these kids' suitcases
Travelling with children can sometimes fill parents with dread. But don't worry. By treating your child to a bright and funky suitcase all of their own, you can make them feel like a real grown-up and put some of the pleasure back into those dreaded family plane, train or car journeys.
Can I take these suitcases on aeroplanes as hand luggage?
It depends on the size of the case. Many airlines permit hand luggage with a length of 56cm, a depth of 25cm and a width of 45cm, but you should always check in advance with the airport and airline.
How to choose kids' suitcases
-Ask your children. If you want your kids to feel excited about your big trip, it's essential to get them on board with the sort of luggage they want. Let them choose a suitcase of their own, and they'll feel much more included.
-Think about your child's habits. If your child is prone to spills or accidents, for example, it might be a good idea to invest in a wipe-down plastic suitcase that can be washed easily.
-Consider the size of the suitcase. If you only ever travel with your children for short periods, a large case could be too bulky. The case should also be proportional to the age and height of your child - if your child is still a toddler, a large case won't be much use.
