Having a child who is image conscious, she didn't see this coming at all. Perfect. She's 9, and I just got her to read this to her younger sister. Was a brilliant story and surprise for her, she thought it was just about a race. Well done on the misdirection. :) xx

This is an adorable little eBook! My son and daughter absolutely love it.
It has charming illustrations, very cute rhymes and an important moral lesson - all that a children's book needs.
Perfect choice for small children.
5.0 out of 5 stars My kids LOVED this book! 6 Jan. 2014

My three year old absolutely loves Sammie Snail -- and my nine year old loves reading it to him. The story centers on Sammie who feels like his snail is holding him back. He feels like it is big, heavy and that he'd be better off without it. Through the wonderful illustrations and fun story, Sammie learns just how valuable his shell really is!

The story integrates some great lessons, honest storytelling and lovable characters that any little one would identify with and fall in love with.

Highly recommended for anyone with little ones at home!
5.0 out of 5 stars Cute Story - Great Lesson 13 Dec. 2013

I love this cute little story by Jenny Baker. It's easy to read on a tablet or even on a smartphone. The illustrations are really cute and the story teaches a great lesson for children - to love yourself as you are! Just because you don't like something about yourself, doesn't mean you should change it. You're made that way for a reason!

The whole story rhymes, which is awesome. The book is short and sweet - perfect for a quick bedtime story. We'll be reading this one again and again. I look forward to more stories about Sammie Snail!

Cute story. My grandsons enjoyed it
5.0 out of 5 stars My son and I enjoyed the story 14 Jun. 2016

My son and I enjoyed the story. It was simple, and the illustrations were cute. My main concerns were the lack of punctuation and editing. (For example, there was a sentence where the word "I" wasn't capitalized.) My sons are just learning to read, and it's important that these very basic elements are modeled in what they're reading.
