Product description

About the Author

Alex was born in a small town in Iowa, but true to his Sagittarian nature, he didn’t stay put. In the past few years, he’s taught trapeze in Amsterdam and Madrid, drummed with Norse shamans, been happily lost in the Scottish moors, and traveled across America with various circus groups. He received his master’s in creative writing from Glasgow University. He currently resides in Seattle, which is sort of like Scotland, save for the accent.

5.0 out of 5 stars Gem of a short story! 27 Dec. 2013

I purchased this book solely because it is by the author of "The Immortal Circus" (check it out it's awesome); I was not disappointed! If Kahler continues to write in this vein, he will give Neil Gaiman a run for his money. If you have a spare 15-30 minutes, I highly suggest you spend it reading this short story.
5.0 out of 5 stars I really enjoyed this story 26 Oct. 2014

I really enjoyed this story. It left me wanting more! More from the author and from the characters. A.R. Kahler puts such a clever spin to his stories. Love his work; wish there was more of it!
5.0 out of 5 stars Great but too short! 13 Feb. 2015

Awesome-why not a longer story though? I know it is a short story but really what a concept- a goldmine- could have been a longer story.... I ate it up in no time flat!
