Another gem via Twitter! I am trying to read a few lighter novels, and I certainly chuckled my way through this book once I got into it and worked out the characters, which are wonderful. The story is a little far fetched, but that just serves to make it more amusing. It definitely puts car boot sales in a different light for me! I gather that this is a debut novel, so I cannot wait to read the next one.

If I am being totally honest I only downloaded this book because it was cheap. I really didn't know what to expect, but I loved it! Really enjoyable read which made me laugh out loud a few times. Highly recommend

Had me gripped from start to finish! The characters are so believable, the story is intriguing, and the writing is top notch. What more could you ask for? I urge anyone unreservedly to read this book!

I enjoyed this book immensely. I used to work on the markets and could relate to the carryings on between stallholders.
Quirky, dark and funny especially for those of us that have a quirky, dark sense of humour. Well worth a read for eveyone. Well done to this author hope to read many more from you.

Bought this after reading the other rave reviews. Have no idea what other people now consider good as this is like a teenagers attempt at creative writing. Loose ends, ridiculous plot - this doesn't even make it as a holiday sunbed read it is so annoying. If this is the level British literature has fallen to we have no hope. I am beginning to despair at finding something useful for this Kindle...... So far re-reading Dickens has been it's only saving grace.

This book lacks any real depth. The characters are too odd (and in some instances grotesque) to be believable or likeable. The author introduces so many characters, all with paper thin personalities, that it can be difficult at times to work out who is who and what's going on.

The humour contained within is also paper-thin and quite banal. Finally I disagree with the moral message of the book; especially at the end. I am not one of these people who needs a happy ending each time but I do believe that if people do something really bad it should not be condoned because that character is a bit of a loveable rogue.

If I had my time again I would probably not bother to download this.
