COMMON LAW CABIN sees 3 people go on a boat trip with an old sea dog, they end up stranded due to circumstances, wind up on a ranch run by a dude, his daughter and her step-mom. Turns out that one of the 3 visitors is on the run from the cops and the story turns into something akin to Raymond Chandler novel, well, a Raymomd Chandler novel with big boobs but even though the film stars 3 big boobed godesses (Alaina Capri, Adele Rein & Babette Bardot) who spend the majority of the film in their bikinis, Meyer is careful not to show anything other than a couple of buttocks. Alaina Capri is particularly alluring like a cross between Amy Winehouse and Nigella Lawson and the film is oddly watchable, fast, funny, silly, punchy, bubbly comic strip fun.
CHERRY,HARRY & RAQUEL stars the late great Charles Napier, the man of 1001 B-Movies as a sheriff trying to protect his drug smuggling racket from a double crosser in the ranks, it's only 71 minutes long and feels incomplete and choppy, I checked Meyer's biography 'Big Bosoms & Square Jaws' (well worth a read) and that's exactly what it is as one of the female stars quit mid-shoot and Meyer had to edit in a sub-plot about 'Soul' played by Uschi Digard and personally, if I were a film maker, I'd edit in a sub-plot starring Uschi Digard into all my films because without her, the film's barely okay but with her, it's confusing but Uschi, Uschi, Uschi, oh lord, she really does look spectacular in this film and even though you glimpse her fleetingly for most of the time, she steals the show in all her buxom glory.
One last thing I'd suggest is buying the Meyer box set rather than individual titles as once you've seen one, you'll want to see them all.
