This book covers both of the AS & A2 syllabus of Chemistry. This book is around A4, printed on good quality paper so will last your studies as you thumb through it. I made a mistake and purchased it from another well-known vendor than Amazon. It cost TWICE as much as its offered by amazon.co.uk!
Its main features
The size of the book means its contents are not rammed together. This on its own is a great boon. Its most obvious feature is its layout of information has already been optimised; separated into AS and A2 areas, structured chapters flowing from the previous and into the next, differing colours high-lighting important ideas and explanations, side comments, many coloured pictures and graphs with related explanations to support its comprehension. The index is nice as well.
But how its rated with the above features as easier than other books to understand depends on what you have yourself studied previously? This book is a true help to improve this important topic or perhaps as background reading to an engineering / science degree studies.
This book is just the AS and the A2 revision guides in one book, which can lead to confusion when using page numbers and/or finding the index (numbers start again in the middle, just before which there's the AS-Level's section's index).
Saying that, I have to give a word of warning, there are some aspects where I had to use my notes to supplement this or, where holes still laid, use an absolutely brilliant website I found (I can't list it here-sorry!). I did Edexcel Chemistry, for those who were wondering.
